HOW HEAT PUMPS WORK?

To understand the concept of how an Enviro Heat Pump works, imagine your refrigerator / freezer working in reverse. While a refrigerator / freezer removes heat in the closed box and expels that heat to the surrounding air, a Heat Pump takes the heat from surrounding air and transfers it to water in the hot water storage tank Envirosun HP Plus heat pump technology makes the efficient use of heat in the surrounding air, even at temperatures as low as -7C. In fact the Enviroheat heat pump hot water system is so efficient that it can convert 1kW of electricity into over 4kW of heat.

The evaporator turns the liquid refrigerant into gas
The Enviro heat pumpcompressor pressurises the refrigerant liquid into hot gas
The hot gas inside the condenser coil heats the water inside the tank
The refrigerant reverts back to a liquid after expansion & continues back to the evaporator for the process to start all over again.

Check out some of the comparisons here on different heat pump hot water heater brands and the Australian Government tested and allocated STC rating, the STC is a rated saving that a hot water system has been granted after testing and approved by the
Australian Clean Energy Regulator.

The number of STC’s that are issued refers to one megawatt hour (1 MWh) of avoided energy consumption over the heat pump hot water system’s deemed life expectancy.

STC’s value drop 10% every year due to phase out of this rebate, This does not reflect the calculation from the conception to 2021 rate
